Valentine's Day

So, there are a few days of the year that we know are coming by the amount of advertising jewelry companies do, yes? Valentine's Day and Mother's Day come to mind. And of course, there is nothing wrong with that! A little reminder to those around us that jewelry is a totally acceptable gift is no problem. Maybe all the heart jewelry is overkill, but some of it really is beautiful. Who couldn't resist some of the signature Chopard heart jewelery with their floating diamonds like this ring? No wonder the line is called Chopard's Happy Diamonds!

Speaking of Harry Winston...

So, Harry Winston is synonymous with Red Carpet Bling. And according to the posting we read on LoveToKnow.com, rightfully so. Here's what it says in their Love To Know Engagement Ring section:

Famous Jewels
One of the most famous gems ever to grace the showcase of Harry Winston is also one of the most famous gems in the world: the dark blue, 45.5 carat Hope Diamond. With a lengthy history that includes Louis XIV, Marie Antoinette, and Louis XVI, Harry Winston ultimately acquired the magnificent stone and donated it to the Smithsonian in 1958. Another famous Harry Winston gem is the Taylor Burton Diamond, a nearly 70 carat pear-shaped stone Richard Burton bought for Elizabeth Taylor. With such illustrious gems as integral parts of the Harry Winston collection, it is no surprise that many brides-to-be desire a Harry Winston engagement ring as a symbol of their ultimate treasure.
